Embrace With Love
A reflection on presence, self-care, and becoming.
Last week, I shared my Becoming self-portrait series with a few people.
What surprised me wasn’t whether they liked the photographs—it was how they saw themselves in them.
Many of the words they shared reflected things I had been wrestling with myself: happiness, presence, love, acceptance.
It reminded me that when we create from an honest place, people don’t just see us—they often see themselves.
This week has felt like the beginning of a new season.
I’ve found myself stepping into new environments, building new relationships, and saying yes to experiences that are outside of my normal routine.
None of these moments felt dramatic on their own, but together they’ve reminded me that meaningful change rarely happens all at once.
It’s built by showing up, one moment at a time.
Yesterday, while looking for a few new pieces to wear, I realized something simple: I was giving myself permission to care for myself in a new way.
Not to impress anyone, but to honor the person I’m becoming.
Sometimes growth looks less like a breakthrough and more like choosing something that reflects the life you’re trying to build.
Lately, I’ve also been thinking about shifting from a short-term mindset to a long-term one—not just in my creative work, but in life.
Trusting that today’s conversations, relationships, and small acts of courage are seeds I may not fully understand yet.
I’m learning that showing up isn’t about having everything figured out.
It’s about being present enough to receive what’s waiting for you.
As I step into August, that’s the posture I want to carry with me:
Embrace with love.

Amazing!
Beautiful work
