Stay in the Flow
Right before something important, life has a funny way of testing your composure.
Not your talent.
Not your ideas.
Your ability to stay grounded when things suddenly shift unexpectedly.
That’s what this past weekend felt like for me.
It Shifted Fast
The studio situation changed unexpectedly on a Friday afternoon.
Late afternoon at that.
For a moment, it sent me spiraling trying to figure out another option, another location, another plan. Everything was already set in motion, and the shoot was happening the next morning.
This wasn’t just another collaboration either.
This was a client trusting me.
Bradley had found me through Google Search after coming across one of my videos. He connected with my energy, reached out, and one thing led to another.
Now it was time to deliver.
So instead of panicking, I just started moving.
I asked for a favor.
And somehow… everything aligned.
On the Way There
The next morning, I loaded the gear, headed out, and stayed focused.
Then traffic hit.
A few minutes away from the location, two cars scraped into each other right in front of me. Nothing major, but enough to stop everything for a second.
I remember looking in my rearview mirror thinking:
“Just keep moving forward.”
Not in a rushing way.
Not in an anxious way.
Just trust it.
The Pressure to Deliver
Bradley was getting back into acting, and these headshots mattered.
The pressure felt high because someone was investing in me and trusting me to help bring out the version of themselves they see internally.
That means something to me.
At the beginning of the session, Bradley was a little nervous, but as we kept shooting, talking, and creating, something shifted.
He relaxed.
He stepped into it.
And honestly, that’s one of my favorite parts of what I do.
Not just creating quality images, but helping someone feel seen, comfortable, and confident in front of the camera.
My good friend Bertrand was there too helping with setup, assisting, filming behind the scenes.
Everything came together.
Staying in Rhythm
Lately, I’ve been realizing that flow isn’t about things going perfectly.
It’s about not letting unexpected moments pull you completely out of rhythm.
Even when things shift.
Even when pressure builds.
Even when your mind wants to spiral.
You stay calm.
You trust yourself.
You show up anyway.
And maybe that’s part of becoming who you said you wanted to be in the first place.
Slowly.
Quietly.
One step at a time.
